The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is once again honoured
to present the 2018/2019 edition of TICA’s MICE Guide to Thailand.

With the proven track record of attracting millions of business
travellers to our shores, the MICE industry has played a
significant role in the growth of Thailand’s economy, and it is
acknowledged that the Thailand Incentive and Convention
Association (TICA) has been a major player in promoting Thailand
as one of the world’s leading MICE destinations. Thanks to the
combined efforts of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition
Bureau (TCEB) with their ‘MICE Venue Standardisation’ and TICA’s
educational programmes, Thailand has been able to elevate its
MICE industry to incomparable world-class standards with a level of
professionalism.
We are also pleased to proclaim that Thailand continues to
flourish as a major tourism destination with more than 35 million
tourists visiting the Kingdom in 2017. While we are certain that
this number will continue to increase steadily in 2018, with more
visitors attending for MICE purposes, TAT will continue to work to Yuthasak Supasorn
ensure that all visitors, particularly business professionals, enjoy Governor
a memorable time in the Kingdom indulging in the scenic beauty Tourism Authority of Thailand
of this country, its wonderful cuisine and unique culture.
Moreover, the Royal Thai Government has recently taken
important steps to improve the infrastructure throughout the
country, creating a network of transport links, both by land and
air, which will accommodate future MICE visitors to the utmost
convenience. This will be achieved through immense investment
yearly-marked for new airports, high speed train projects and the
increased promotion of Thailand’s secondary destinations.

On behalf of TAT, I would like to offer my sincere compliments
to TICA, and applaud them on their efforts in producing such an
outstanding guide. We are confident of a successful and profitable
future for the MICE industry in Thailand.
