sustainability is also at the forefront of
                our goals these last few years, and the
                industry is well aware of its importance.
                Most of our members are actively allocating
                resources and implementing strategies
                to realise our sustainable development
                objectives, but we can always do more. I
                would like to find an international platform

                in which all our members can participate,
                and leverage and uplift our standards of
                sustainability development.

                After the COVID-19 pandemic and the
                crisis of the last few years, DMCs and the
                hospitality industry have learned that we
                need to be more aware of global events,
                and that we need to move cautiously.
                Focus on our strengths and look to
                diversify into different markets, as this
                will help when some markets falter –
                other markets will be there to bolster our
                strength. This will be instrumental in
                moving forward.
                2024 heralds TICA’s 40th anniversary, and
                I would like to take this opportunity to
                extend my heartfelt appreciation to the
                diverse members of TICA, whose unwavering
                support has been a constant source of
                strength, particularly during the various
                hurdles we’ve encountered over the last
                few years.  I would also like to thank our
                Board of Directors, Executive Committee,
                Capabilities Development Committee,
                Marketing Committee, and Membership &
                PR Committee, for their unwavering
                commitment and effort. Their dedication
                has been instrumental in our achievements,
                and we owe them a debt of gratitude.
                Overall, the business events industry and
                our Association has moved from strength
                to strength, adapting to and integrating
                technology that’s developed at an
                astonishing rate. However, we also need
                to address the importance of encouraging
                the new generation and youth to join
                the industry. This Ruby Anniversary,
                our plan is to boost the new generation’s
                awareness of the business events industry
                and its relevance in helping the economy.
                Through the youth, we hope that we can
                create champions for change, and look
                forward to Team Thailand soaring higher
                than ever in the future.
