Once again, on behalf of the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau,
I would like to congratulate TICA on another year of success and wish
to thank the association for its active role in our more than
          a decade long collaboration.

In 2013, our collective efforts resulted in Thailand seeing more
than one million MICE visitors for the first time. There has since
been steady growth, as demonstrated by MICE visitor arrival
numbers reaching as high as 13.14% during the first half of this year.
As a result, we are confident that the country will reach its target
of 1.37 million by year end.

Other reports that illustrate the nation’s continued development
include a recent market survey that was conducted in 20 countries,
which ranked Thailand as the number one preferred destination that
survey participants would like to revisit on their future business or
MICE trips. Additionally, according to an International Congress and
Convention Association (ICCA) Country and City Rankings Report
from 2017, Thailand hosted a total of 163 conferences, making it the
top conference destination of the ASEAN region for the second year
in a row. Chiruit Isarangkun na Ayuthaya
                                                                                       President
Moreover, the creation of the ‘Thailand CONNECT’ strategy aims
at further enhancing Thailand’s position as the region’s leading Thailand Convention & Exibition Bureau
‘bleisure’ (business and leisure) destination by focusing on its (Public Organization)
unrivalled location at the heart of the Asia-Pacific, the diversity
of destinations, boundless business opportunities, continued
sustainable growth and the passion and professionalism of Thai
people. These achievements and initiatives plus Thailand’s strategic
development plans are very much likely to shift the MICE industry
into prosperity in the near future.

With the realisation of Thailand 4.0, the Eastern Economic Corridor
and the East-West Corridor taking place at a time in which Asia is
driving the world, the MICE industry is set to gain extra momentum,
          soaring to even greater heights.

Together with powerful proactive partners like TICA, we aim to
continue strengthening our drive to enhance the quality of MICE
events, positioning Thailand as a world leader in the MICE industry
          for many years to come.
