No other country in Asia can come close to the
range of destinations and attractions Thailand
offers, due to its diverse natural regions.
Geographically, there are four distinct areas
with their own unique identity and cultural
aspects. In the southern region, there are pris-
tine palm trees and white sandy beaches, while
acres of paddy fields are spread across miles
of fertile lands in the central plains. When you
travel further north, you will find lush expanses
of forests that hide metre-high waterfalls and
hills with panoramic vistas, while acrid farm
lands cover the high plateau in the northeast
corner of the country. The attractions here all
range from nature-based gems to historical
landmarks and sites that give visitors a glimpse
into a fascinating heritage.
