COAST

Bangkok residents and foreign travellers have sought
out the beaches of Thailand’s East Coast for decades,
and many seaside towns in this region have developed
into destinations packed with entertainment venues
and endless options for dining and accommodation.

one travels further east.
Situated less than an hour and a half by road from
Suvarnabhumi Airport, Pattaya in Chonburi province
is the most well-known seaside destination of the
region, with no shortage of hotels, shopping centres

and restaurants. The city caters to a wide range of
travellers. Whether it be a MICE trip, a family vacation
or a honeymoon, Pattaya has a plethora of sites and
facilities for recreational activities, from golf courses
and museums to offshore islands and theme parks.
The city’s vibrant nightlife is also its major draw.
Koh Chang Many visitors enjoy taking a day trip to Koh Lan,
known for its coral beds and clear waters. Another
all-day excursion option is Nong Nooch Village,
featuring a botanical garden with an impressive
