Set directly on the bank of the Chao Phraya
River, The Peninsula has an ingenious
Wave-shaped design that ensures river
views for all rooms. The hotel has its own
helipad on the roof. There are 370 rooms
and suites. Restaurants include Mei Jiang,
which serves fine Cantonese cuisine, and
Thiptara, with its authentic home-style
Thai cooking served in traditional pavilions
on the riverfront terrace. There is a spa,
fitness centre with personal trainers, one
tennis court, and a three-tiered swimming
pool. The Peninsula is a prime venue for
society events, weddings, and meetings.
The Sakuntala Ballroom can hold up to 800
guests for a reception and is divisible into
two. The Foyer will hold 200 guests. There
are a number of smaller function rooms,
the largest of which is the Chintara,which
can hold 160 guests for a reception. For
a theatre presentation, the Chintara has a
capacity of up to 176 guests.
The Peninsula Bangkok is just 45 minutes
by car from Suvarnabhumi Airport and
