THE SOUTH
THE
SOUTH
Pristine Beaches
Southern Thailand is synonymous with visions of
turquoise waters, powdery white sand and dramatic
limestone cliffs. Indeed, Thailand’s southern
peninsula—flanked by Myanmar and the Andaman
Sea to the west, the Gulf of Thailand to the east, and
Koh Samui Malaysia to the south—is one of the most picturesque
tropical destinations in the world, with miles of
unspoilt beaches and some of Thailand’s most famous
islands and top-tier resorts.
Phang Nga
The most famous of Southern Thailand’s many
Krabi islands—and the largest—is Phuket, which offers
something for every type of traveller. Patong beach,
in Phuket’s main city, is the epicentre of the island’s

nightlife, with bars, clubs and local restaurants to
Phuket suit every budget. Phuket Town is the administrative
centre of the island, but also boast lots of historic
Sino-Portuguese architecture, much of which has
been converted into charming cafes, restaurants and
art galleries. Just outside the city is the Royal Phuket
Marina, one of the premier yachting hubs of Asia.
Here it is possible to book excursions for groups and
cruise around Phang Nga Bay’s limestone cliffs, caves,
mangroves, fishing villages and islands.
